Pioneering harm reduction agency, St. Ann’s Corner of Harm Reduction, Inc. (SACHR) located in the South Bronx has an opening for a Manager Mental Health Programs.


Manager Mental Health Programs

Required qualifications:

LCSW or Licensed Psychologist; excellent supervisory skills; strong verbal and written communication skills; two or more years of clinical experience in a setting that serves individuals living with HIV; demonstrated basic understanding of social issues related to HIV/AIDS, experience with conducting CDC’s effective behavioral interventions; comfortable and competent in social science research; interest in complimentary therapies; detail oriented with a proven record of meeting deadlines; bilingual English/Spanish.

Principal Functions:

Combine direct client services with management tasks; assure that intervention fidelity is maintained; oversee evaluation and program monitoring activities; train and supervise staff in delivery of intervention components; assure that supplies are on hand when needed; monitor data collection; oversee provision of Home and Community Based Services and Harm Reduction services billable to Medicaid; request technical assistance; explain intervention to stakeholders.

Duties Include:

à       Conduct ARTAS interventions

à       Conduct Supportive Counseling & Family Stabilization services

à       Manage SCF team and provide clinical supervision to support staff including delivery of intervention components

à       Uphold SACHR’s policy and procedures including the policies and procedures set forth by the NYC Department of Health & Mental Hygiene

à       Complete monthly supervisory chart reviews; follow-up (as needed) on charts that have been reviewed and discussed with the appropriate staff

à       Clinical supervisions of staff performing (D)EBIs and Mental Health programs including LMSW from Mental Health Service Corps and Social Work interns

à       Conduct reporting on Mental Health Programs

à       Provide Individual & Group mental health counseling

à       Organize & participate in case conferences

à       Meet with the Deputy & Clinical Director on a weekly basis for face-to-face supervision

à       Participate in the weekly Program Management Meeting

à       Represent SACHR at Community, Professional and/or Coalition meetings

à       Reports to Deputy and Clinical Director
