Job Description

Reporting to the Executive Director, the CiviCO Community Manager's primary responsibilities will be membership and community development.  In this newly established role, the CiviCO Community Manager will manage an established and growing CiviCO membership experience, including events and partnerships. You will lead member communications, including newsletters and social media. You will leverage your strong relationship skills while assisting the Executive Director in cultivating and managing donors. 




Position Summary


Membership Experience

·        Tour, interview, solicit, and follow-up on prospective new members

·        In partnership with Executive Director, design and manage annual CIVICO membership calendar.

·        Lead and facilitate all member events, including strategy, vendor management, promotional communications, and onsite event support.

·        Report and track budget for membership events and experiences.

·        Manage and monitor membership database (CRM).

·        With the Executive Director, develop goals and action plans for membership development and retention, including corporate sponsorships.

·        Develop membership marketing and promotional materials, including applications, welcome kits, and other collateral.

·        Coordinate, manage, track and evaluate all membership and renewal activities, including new member, renewal, and potential member communication vehicles.

·        Support the general operations of Club CiviCO as needed.

·        Serve as the community relations liaison to increase awareness of CiviCO in the area and grow the number of new members.


Communication & Marketing

·        Drive CiviCO's social media engagement, from strategy development to execution and results measurement.

·        Deliver engaging  digital experience for CiviCO's existing and prospective stakeholders, including organization website, newsletters, and marketing emails to promote CiviCO's brand, purpose, and core values

·        Coordination of the marketing strategy working with the ED to implement further developments and expansion of capabilities

·        Coordination of production, receipt, and distribution of marketing material and assets.

·        Monitor marketing budget and within agreed sustainability criteria.


Donor Development

·        In partnership with the Executive Director, develop a donor cultivation plan for existing and new donors

·        Lead donor gratitude and update communications

·        Maintain donor database, including contacts and relevant details

·        Assist with grant applications and reporting when necessary.



Team Support

·        Foster our company culture by assisting in the planning and executing internal and external events such as company celebrations, company retreats, special events, office-wide meetings, and other special projects.

·        Represent CIVICO at community events and programs throughout Denver and Colorado



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Applicants should demonstrate:

·        Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Communications or equivalent experience in MarComm

·        Relevant event planning, hospitality, and administrative experience

·        Proven success with executive-level stakeholders, working closely, confidently, and collaboratively

·        Solid verbal and written communication skills

·        Highly organized with strong attention to detail

·        Shows versatility and adaptability to handle a highly variable workload

·        Exceptional commitment to process improvement and proven ability to implement systems and procedures

·         "Make it happen and roll-up your sleeves" approach to work; has a bias toward getting things done—no matter the task

·        Bring personal characteristics including humility, authenticity, and a sense of humor

·        Form and maintain meaningful and productive partnerships with influential Colorado community leaders

·        Remain nonpartisan in all communications and outreach


Position Type

Full-Time/Regular

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. with some evenings and weekends required.

Hybrid working environment with work from home flexibility as part of a weekly schedule.
