Program and Operations Manager

The Washington Recovery Alliance (WRA) works to create a statewide community that celebrates and advocates for recovery. Our vision is a Washington State where recovery can be a reality for all.

Organizational Culture: The WRA is composed of passionate, strategic, fun, energetic and respectful individuals and families from across the state of Washington committed to improving the lives of people impacted by substance use disorders and mental health challenges.

Position: The Washington Recovery Alliance is seeking to hire a full-time Program and Operations Manager (POM). This is a full-time, 40 hour per week salaried position (exempt).

The POM will be required to work occasional evening and weekend hours. As of August 2021, all WRA staff members are working remotely, until further notice.

The Program & Operations Manager (POM) will report to the Executive Director and will support ongoing efforts and special projects to advance recovery in Washington State.

Primary responsibilities include:

  1. Manage and maintain organizational infrastructure, including tracking and reporting expenses, grantmaking, HR and volunteer management systems, donor CRM databases, information technology, office supplies, digital accounts and tools, and other essential operational protocols
  2. Serve as the primary point of contact for regional recovery coalitions throughout WA State, providing technical assistance and organizing and advocacy support to coalition leaders and members
  3. Lead on logistics for WRA events, including securing venues, materials, supplies, food and beverage, and helping develop event agendas and content
  4. Manage Elevate program, our legislative advocacy training
  5. Manage volunteers, including onsite during programs, communication prior, during and post-event to evaluate fit
  6. Provide implementation support for organizing and advocacy strategies around local and statewide recovery policy
  7. Manage WRA general correspondence via office phone and general Email inquiries
  8. Provide administrative support for fellow staff’s efforts in fundraising, communications, community outreach, and organizational growth strategy as-needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s in social work, public health, public administration, sociology, psychology or any other related behavioral health, nonprofit management, and/or advocacy degree.
  • Responsible, detail-oriented, and hardworking
  • Alignment with WRA’s values and mission to promote recovery for all
  • Minimum 3 years of professional nonprofit experience
  • Responsible, detail-oriented, and hard-working
  • Positive attitude, sense of humor, able to work with different personalities and backgrounds
  • Commitment to racial, social, and economic justice
  • Ability to take initiative and be a self-starter

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s in social work, public health, public administration, sociology, psychology or any other related behavioral health, nonprofit management, and/or advocacy degree.
  • Experience working with or as a member of coalition-based organizations
  • Experience managing operational systems such as financial tracking software, volunteer management tools, fundraising software, project management software, and cloud storage / organization systems
  • Lived experience with mental health or substance use recovery
  • Experience supervising individuals in a temporary role, like student interns or event volunteers
  • Experience managing grants and public contracts

Salary

USD 45,000 - USD 52,000dependent on qualifications and experience
