Position Summary

The Nature Conservancy (TNC) has defined ambitious global goals to address catastrophic environmental challenges facing people and nature. Achieving our 2030 targets by the end of the decade will require new skills, engaged staff, diverse voices, and clear and transparent ways of working together. The Michigan Director of Operations will provide coordination, integration and efficiency for our people, systems, and processes to advance TNC’s goals in Michigan and beyond.

 

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and 6 years related experience or equivalent combination, including 2 years managing operations functions.
  • Finance / Accounting experience.
  • Experience acting as an ethical role model, and demonstrated experience handling confidential information.
  • Experience generating financial reports and analyzing and interpreting data.
  • Experience leading and implementing multiple projects and complex processes.
  • Experience in research, critical analysis, and evaluating information from divergent sources and compiling it into cohesive reports.
  • Experience developing and administering departmental budget or equivalent.
  • Experience negotiating agreements.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Supervisory experience including setting objectives, managing performance, and conflict resolution.
