Respiratory Health Association is seeking a Program Coordinator to support the Association’s efforts to prevent lung disease, promote clean air and help people live better through education, research, and policy change. The coordinator will work closely with colleagues in Respiratory Health Association’s programs and policy department to implement tobacco control and chronic disease initiatives as well as other activities that promote clean air and healthy lungs for all.

Key Responsibilities:

 Coordinates Respiratory Health Association’s community-based lung health programs, including Counsel to QuitSM, Courage to Quit®, Living Better Together COPD Conference, among others;

 Delivers community-based lung health programming, related to chronic disease management (COPD and asthma), lung cancer, and tobacco cessation (Courage to Quit®) and treatment integration (Counsel to QuitSM) to multiple, diverse audiences;

 Conducts outreach to external stakeholders, including community partner agencies, schools, local health departments, healthcare providers, and pulmonary rehabilitation groups to develop, promote and implement community-based lung health programs and smoke-free policy, systems and environment change initiatives;

 Supports program evaluation, database management and program inventory;

 Assists in developing health education and promotion materials, including curriculums, factsheets, newsletter articles, etc.;

 Assists with progress reporting to funders and monitors project budgets as assigned;

 Assists with development and tracking budgets; and

 Carries out other special projects and duties as assigned.


 Bachelor's Degree required with a concentration in Public Health, Health Education or similar background strongly preferred.

 Experience in the implementation of community programs and/or public health initiatives.

 Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be comfortable and able to present in front of large, diverse audiences, including children and adults.

 Proficient in building and maintaining strong relationships, demonstrating initiative and taking responsibility.
