Human Impact Partners seeks an Operations Director (OD) who will be responsible for overseeing and improving the organization’s operational systems and policies in support of our mission. This is an exciting opportunity to support the organization in bringing the power of public health to campaigns and movements for a just society.

About the Operations Director Position

The Operations Director (OD) will be responsible for overseeing and improving the organization’s operational systems and policies in support of our mission.

HR Operations (⅓ of the position)

The OD will oversee all aspects of the day-to-day and strategic management of human resources work, including hiring, payroll, benefits, and staff development. The OD will develop HR strategies and processes that support HIP’s overall mission and vision, including employee relations and development, talent acquisition and retention, and leadership and staff development.

Financial Operations (⅓ of the position)

The OD will oversee all aspects of the day-to-day financial operations of the organization, including contracting, invoicing, audit and tax preparation, and insurance. The OD will collaborate with and oversee the work of HIP’s part-time bookkeeper.

Staff Leadership Development (⅓ of the position)

The OD will oversee and lead HIP’s internal equity, organizational, and staff development work, supporting the organization and staff in living out its values and accomplishing its programmatic work.



Qualifications

  • A commitment to social justice and HIP’s mission
  • At least 4 years of experience in financial, operations, or human resources management, including experience with bookkeeping
  • Strong background and experience in finance and human resources
  • Experience with administration of employee benefits and payroll
  • Strong experience in training and staff development in equity (this work might be known as diversity, equity, and inclusion; however, HIP has a more structural and expansive vision of what this work might conventionally be defined as)
  • Ability to provide coaching, guidance and training on cultural awareness, cultural humility, equity based facilitation practices and equity based decision making processes
  • Ability to maintain an overall view of the organization and identify areas for improvement and growth which work toward individual and team accomplishment of goals
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and in writing
  • A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace
