POSITION SUMMARY

Interact’s Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) Program is comprised of an array of services that are delivered to children and their families across settings (school, home and community) through a team oriented, evidenced supported and trauma informed approach. The IBHS Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) is tasked with implementing the Intensive Treatment Plan (ITP), providing direct interventions with a child in the home, school and community setting. 

FUNCTIONS           

1.       In collaboration with Graduate Level Professionals and other clinical staff, the BHT ensures the ITP is being implemented to meet the child’s needs

2.      Provides 1:1 support and interventions as outlined in the ITP.

3.      Is an active member of the treatment team, providing service across settings and times (day, evening and weekend) in order to support the child.

4.      May provide coverage for other clients/caseloads as needed.

5.      Maintains consistent and effective communication with team members regarding client progress, regression, barriers and concerns.

6.      Collects and submits behavioral data as defined by the IBHS team.

7.      Engages in required supervision per the IBHS supervision policy.

8.      Completes all documentation in accordance with agency, state and county mandates.

9.      Participates in and completes all mandatory state, managed care and agency trainings.

10.  Participates in Interagency Team Meetings as requested.

11.  Must function in full compliance with all applicable policies and procedures, federal state and local laws and Interact’s Code of Conduct. Must participate in Interact’s Compliance Program including reporting suspected violations of the compliance program or applicable laws or regulations to supervisor/manager/director or the Compliance Officer. 

QUALIFICATIONS

Skills

1.      Ability to utilize and facilitate a collaborative, team oriented approach.

2.      Demonstrated ability to navigate Electronic Medical Records system.

3.      Must be flexible and available to provide service across physical settings (home, school and community) as well as flexible and available with hours/days of the week (weekends included)

Experience

·        2 years of experience providing behavior health services (preferred)


Education:

Must meet ONE of the following criteria:

1.       Have a certification as a BCaBA

2.       Have a certification as a RBT

3.       Have a certification as a BCAT

4.       Have a behavior health certification or behavior analysis certification from an organization that is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute.

5.       Have a high school diploma or the equivalent of a high school diploma and have completed a 40-hour training covering the RBT Task List as evidenced by a certification that includes the name of the responsible trainer, who is certified as a BCBA or BCaBA.

6.      Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the provision of behavioral health services

7.       Valid Child Abuse, Criminal History, and FBI clearances
