Description

Leads moderately complex projects that require skill in multiple technical environments or disciplines.   Responsible for application analysis, design development, integration and enhancement. Responsible for analyzing, designing, programming, testing and implementing routine, internal application development and production support: assists with project planning, status reports and technical problem resolutions; help desk personnel on custom and packaged software; installs, diagnoses, repairs, maintains, and upgrades computer hardware and equipment to ensure optimal workstation/server performance; troubleshoots problem areas in person, by telephone, or via e-mail in a timely and accurate fashion: provides end-user assistance where required; recommends/performs remedial actions to correct problems based on the knowledge of system operation; performs project assignments. Interacts with users and IT Manager for requirement analysis, effort estimation, architecture/design. Performs software and hardware installations and upgrades to include but not limited to operating systems, Microsoft Office suite, antivirus program and IBM Connections. Provides technical assistance and training to system users. 

 

Education, Experience and Abilities:

Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science preferred and two to three years equivalent work experience. 

 

Knowledge of object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, best practices of software development and design. Development knowledge/experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, .Net, IIS, C#, ASP.NET, PL/SOL., webAPI. Development knowledge/experience with HTML5, PHP, xCode, Swift, jQuery, API, Bootstrap, SOAP/RESTful. Knowledge/experience with in IIS/Apache configuration and access control. Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle. IBM Domino development skill with hands on experience in XPAGE and HTML, theme, Open source Portal development. Knowledge/experience in Eclipse and IBM Notes Java development. Skills on html, CSS, JavaScript, lotus script, Java, Web services, XML. Composite application development experience. Development with SQL database. Working knowledge of the capabilities of personal computers, networks, and peripheral devices. Working knowledge of the operation of a computer server system. Working knowledge of the security of a computer system. Knowledge of IBM Notes Client configuration and Domino Server Administrator. Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy computer equipment (25 - 50 lbs) on a frequent basis. Ability to stoop, crawl and climb when necessary.

 

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

MCSD Certified Application Developer or Sun Certified Java Programmer preferred.
