Fiver is seeking a High School Program Manager, to oversee all non-camp programs for high school youth. This position will work out of our New York City office all year long, making one or two visits to Camp Fiver during the summer.  This role has both program implementation responsibilities as well as supervisory responsibilities.  This position will report to the Deputy Executive Director and will work in partnership with the Elementary and Middle School Program Manager. The Manager will work from 11 am to 7 pm and one or two Saturdays each month. This position is an exempt role.


Responsibilities:

Program Implementation (40%))

  • Manage outreach efforts for all high school programs
  • Plan and implement school break and internship programs
  • Plan and manage summer job training program
  • Manage Familia Adelante collaboration in partnership with Mercy Center including supervising part-time staff member, liaising with partner, and assisting with reports for funder
  • Plan and implement four welcome dinners in preparation for Camp Fiver
  • Manage the Coaching and Role Model programs for Fiver alumni
  • Implement corporate volunteer experiences related to high school programs, in coordination with development department.

 

Supervision (40%)

  • Supervise, on-board and train full and part-time high school program staff
  • Support part-time Alumni Program Coordinator and alumni board of directors
  • Conduct monthly program observations and provide feedback for staff
  • Ensure that all curricula is implemented as intended and that facilitation is of the highest quality
  • Seek out interns to support the high school team and coordinate their supervision by team members


Administrative (20%)

  • Enter case notes and program attendance in database and ensure team members do the same
  • Oversee camp registration outreach for high school youth
  • Complete weekly and monthly program reports
  • Manage facilities and supplies related to high school programs in NYC office
  • Manage non-camp high school program budget


Core Competencies and Qualifications

  • 3+ years of related work experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work well in a team, as well as independently. 
  • Motivated, “can do” attitude, friendly personality, quick learner, and a desire to take initiative.
  • Highly organized and attentive to detail
  • Able to work collaboratively with all levels of staff, youth, parents, and community partners
  • A high level of computer literacy
