Our Mission: Project Invent empowers students with 21st-century skills to succeed individually and impact globally, through invention.

Our Vision: A generation of fearless, compassionate problem solvers.

Project Invent (projectinvent.org) is a national nonprofit empowering high school students across the country to invent technologies for social impact. We train teachers in design thinking, engineering, and entrepreneurship to lead students through identifying real problems in their communities and inventing impactful solutions. At the end of the year, students present their inventions to their community partners and have a chance to pitch to investors and tech leaders at our Demo Day events.

Since 2018, we've grown from one school to 50 schools across the country. In 2021, we are doubling our impact to 100 schools nationwide. As Director of Programs, you will lead our programs team and build processes and systems that maintain our program quality while growing our program reach. The ideal candidate can lead a diverse, distributed team, see things five steps ahead, and give attention to priority in front of them. This person is excited to get into the details of project management, but also enjoys generative, vision-casting work. You will be in charge of everything from planning nationwide events to managing your team's workstreams to piloting new program initiatives.

We are a remote-friendly team, and are happy to accept candidates from anywhere in the U.S. This is a full-time, salaried position for a candidate excited about building a national network of teachers who are igniting social innovation in classrooms!
