We are searching for an Associate Regional Manager to join our team! Based in Newark, the ideal candidate is excited by our mission,passionate about professional development and training,and thrives in a collaborative team environment. The Associate Regional Manager is an essential leadership role that directly impacts student outcomes, teacher practices, and is critical in ensuring all children have the power of literacy. We are looking for qualified candidates with a history in early education, experience mentoring, and 5+ years practicing and implementing balanced literacy.


What are the essential responsibilities of this role?

  • Provide professional development to further the growth of team members
  • Act as a mentor/ to team of Literacy Coaches
  • Build a team of coaches that thrives on collaboration and professional growth
  • Oversee the health and implementation of assigned projects
  • Support coaches’ work in the field
  • Facilitate professional development
  • Work with the Chief Academic Officer, Regional Executive Director, Regional Manager to make project related decisions
  • Mentor coaches to build capacity and content knowledge
  • Communicate with district partners and Regional Manager to make project based decisions
  • Support the facilitation and implementation of literacy action plan
  • Utilize teacher practice and student achievement data to monitor progress/guide professional development and make programmatic adjustments


What do you need to be successful in this role?

  • 5+ years practicing and implementing CLI methodology required
  • Ability to travel throughout the region regularly to visit schools and districts in the region and surrounding areas
  • Mission driven mindset
  • Expert early literacy content knowledge
  • Strong sense of urgency / project high stakes
  • Excellent coaching and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage directly and serve as a leader/mentor for indirect reports
  • Experience with developing content for workshops, seminars and institutes
  • Ability to work collaboratively to accomplish company goals and meet client expectations
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team and to interface diplomatically with all levels of staff, contractors, teachers, and school administration
  • Exceptional project management, prioritization and organizational skills
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have regular access to an insured vehicle
