Purpose of Position

The Women’s Cancer Resource Center (WCRC) is seeking a Clinical Services & Resources Manager to coordinate its psychotherapeutic and community resource-related services.

Primary Responsibilities

1.      Manage Free Therapy Program (FTP) to include:

·        conducting client intakes and psychosocial assessments

·        recruiting and maintaining a diverse pool of volunteer psychotherapists

·        leading monthly case consultation group

·        tracking data collection for clinical programs

·        assisting those who do not qualify for the FTP to connect to other psychotherapy resources in the larger community

·        working with community partners to facilitate program utilization and to support psychotherapeutic needs of shared clients

2.      Manage Information and Referral Helpline (I&R) to include:

·        onboarding, training, and supervising volunteer team members   

·        overseeing efficiency of program protocols and intake processes

·        facilitating quarterly I&R volunteer team meetings

·        ensure relevant support resources are available to clients

3.      Manage Continuing Education (CE) Program

·        administering current online continuing education program

·        enhancing and marketing CE program for Bay Area psychological community (as funding allows)

4.      Maintain and cultivate relationships with community partners regarding clinically-oriented services and resources within WCRC

·        outreaching to hospital social workers, health organizations, community-based organizations

·        marketing programs to aforementioned constituents

Required Qualifications  

·        Licensed with BBS in California as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with 5+ years clinical experience and 3+ years case management experience

·        Currently eligible to provide clinical supervision to AMFTs and ASWs or willingness to become eligible

·        Knowledge and understanding of cancer and the physical and emotional impact of cancer on individuals and the family system

·        Experience conducting and documenting intakes and psychosocial assessments 

·        Familiarity with local resources and community-based organizations, especially those related to cancer support

·        Demonstrate solid problem-solving skills, be self-motivated, and committed to program objectives

·        Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a small team environment

·        Ability to work flexible hours in which some evenings and weekends may be required

·        Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

·        Sensitivity and comfort working in a culturally diverse environment (e.g., race, ethnicity, socio-economic status, sexual orientation, gender presentation & identity, physical ability, religious/spiritual affiliation) and with a variety of community partners

·        Possess basic computer literacy including MS Word and Excel. Comfort with MS Outlook calendar or comparable calendaring systems


Preferred Qualifications

·        Supervisory experience

·        Experience in hospital settings

·        Bilingual Spanish/English

·        Facility with social media (Facebook) and web publishing applications
