Outside In is seeking a full time Clinic Manager to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of Outside In’s East clinic serving houseless and underserved communities in the area as part of Outside In’s Federally Qualified Health Center operations.


The East Clinic Manager plays a key role in supporting the clinic and ensuring patient care of the highest quality. This position is responsible for the overall success of clinic operation including but not limited to: meeting financial goals, clinic objectives, and productivity benchmarks - all while striving to improve the health and wellness of the communities we serve.  

This is a full-time, non-union represented, salary position with a range of $54,600.00 - $63,877.00, based on experience and skills. This position reports to the Clinic Operations Director and is a member of the Clinical Health Services Team.

  • You delight in effectively leading a team, and have the ability to establish and manage strong partnerships across all levels and experiences of stakeholders. 
  • You have background in, experience with, or are able to understand the operations of a primary care clinic.   
  • You are dedicated and/or familiar to the East Clinic’s area and the community needs.   
  • You are supportive and open-minded about expansion to unique care programs, approaching these ideas creatively with sound and trustworthy judgement.  
  • You can communicate with folx at all levels, while confidently translating medical jargon to nonmedical folx and vice versa. 
  • You are passionate about anti-racist practice, engaging in equity and anti-racist discussions within the team and the agency to ensure the equitable impact of the mission within our communities and with our stakeholders. 

What you will do:   

  • Oversee the effective delivery of patient centered services at the East Clinic, ensuring an integrated and care team based approach. 
  • Assure adequate staffing for administrative and clinical functions of the clinic, coordinating schedules and notification of clinic closures as needed.  
  • Provide performance management for each staff on a regular basis by providing feedback and completing the scheduled performance reviews. 
  • Manage program budget and fiscal performance of the East clinic site. Review and approve expenses for the program. 
  • Supervise day-to-day operations of the clinic, optimizing efficiency and patient experience.  
  • Conduct quality improvement initiatives to assist staff in improving patient clinical outcomes, meet operational expectations, and achieve financial goals over time. 
  • Serve as the point person for community partners, community members, OHA staff, and facilities/maintenance. 
  • Monitor and investigate system, workflow, and operational issues and make recommendations for improvement. 
  • Coordinate PCPCH certification and other certifications as necessary.

  • Ability to work with staff and clients of diverse backgrounds 

 

Required Qualifications 

  • College degree or 2+ years of work experience demonstrating communication, organization, time management, collaboration skills. 
  • 2+ years’ experience developing or managing a program  
  • Experience in a healthcare or social services setting

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Experience in supervision of multi-disciplinary team strongly preferred. 
  • Experience in an FQHC health care environment preferred.  
  • Experience serving ethnically diverse and underserved populations preferred. 
  • Spanish bilingual preferred 
  • Reproductive, prenatal, and/or pediatric care experience preferred 
  • Public relations experience preferred.

Working Conditions  

  • This job is located in a standard medical office environment at our East County Clinic. Ability to travel may be needed to support other agency clinics and teams.
