Position Summary: 

The Diversity Sourcer will contribute to the Recruiting team’s efforts to deliver best in class recruitment services to our hiring partners. The Diversity Sourcer is responsible for attracting talent via direct outreach, search and other diversity recruiting techniques. This role will have an emphasis on passively sourcing diverse candidates and establishing healthy and well maintained candidate pipelines for open positions. The Diversity Sourcer will also provide added recruitment support and coordination for the Recruiting team. The Diversity Sourcer will use a variety of techniques to perform outreach to high potential candidates. The Diversity Sourcer will uplift and embody Tides core values - Respect, Accountability, Creativity, Equity and Empowerment - in all areas of work, and engagement with team members and partners. 

In the past, Tides staff have worked predominantly from our offices in San Francisco and New York. Today, we are creating a new hybrid work model to support staff with remote work from anywhere in the United States, work from one of our offices when they formally re-open on September 7, or a combination of both. This is an exciting time to join Tides.

The Diversity Sourcer is a full time temporary position expected to last for a duration of 6 months. Exempt employees are expected to work the appropriate and necessary time in order to complete key assignments and related tasks on schedule. 

Essential Functions: 

  • Continuously seek out opportunities to engage with passive candidates via direct outreach and pursuing other strategies to actively engage with relevant candidates
  • Successfully partner with Tides’ recruiters and hiring managers to understand their key business needs
  • Continually source professionals via LinkedIn, review direct applications and use a variety of diversity hiring resources and approaches to source talent for open positions 
  • Build a healthy pipeline of qualified candidates across a variety of roles throughout Tides
  • Conduct a high volume of weekly phone calls, phone screens, vetting candidates for their relevant skills, mission alignment with Tides, and overall profile fits
  • Continuously develop strategies for engaging top talent with a focus on diversity hiring
  • Present candidate slates to Recruiting staff and hiring managers with a keen eye for the manager’s top needs.
  • Strategically plan and execute strategies to maintain healthy candidate pipelines for hard-to-fill roles
  • Schedule interviews for hiring managers and hiring teams across Tides
  • Partner with recruiting team at Tides to develop best practice tools and resources for all Tides employee
  • Proactively identify and implement opportunities to improve sourcing methods and approaches 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a role with heavy recruitment/sourcing support as a Diversity Sourcer, Sourcer, Junior Recruiter, Recruiting Coordinators or similar role
  • Minimum 2 years experience developing search strategies to identify and attract diverse passive talent and development of diverse candidate pipelines using various sourcing techniques (e.x., Boolean search and other search techniques) 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication across all media (phone, Zoom, LinkedIn, Slack messaging and email)
  • Exceptional listening skills and ability absorb all relevant and critical information from a candidate interview
  • Experience sourcing candidates for roles throughout various departments, including but not limited to Finance, HR, Operations, Client Services, Marketing and IT
  • Experience running multiple candidate searches of all levels in tandem, with a focus on diversity hiring
  • Hands-on experience utilizing a variety of diversity hiring resources (job postings, sourcing, referrals and more)
  • Ability to rigorously prioritize, organize, and multitask; simultaneously building and managing diverse candidate pipelines for multiple roles at varying stages in the process
  • Successfully deliver on all deadlines and execute in a very fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with ATS and other related platforms (ADP, WorkDay, Ceridian)
  • At least 1 year experience recruiting with LinkedIn Recruiter strongly preferred
  • Strong relationship building skills and client service orientation
