CPC is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) who will work alongside our multidisciplinary team which delivers high quality, evidence informed, and community-based behavioral healthcare services to our clients.


We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working, and reliable Certified Medical Assistants to work in our Residential facility. We have 8 hour day shifts available 4 weekdays, and 1 weekend day. Our nurses work independently and within a multidisciplinary team with planning and leading duties such as: 

Group activities,

Health education,

 And Coordination with PCP’s,

The CMA is a practical nurse who would coordinate, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices.   The MA would work under direction of a Licensed Practical Nurse and supervision of a Registered Nurse. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Primary function is to provide coordinated care in the residential setting to clients of all age groups, and referrals to meet the needs of the patient/family.

 

  • The MA will collaborate with LPN and will provide clinical directions to the interdisciplinary team, physician, psychiatrist, and family as indicated.

 

  • Implements/documents the plan of care to ensure quality and continuity of care.

 

  • Provides care utilizing infection control measures that protect both the staff and the patient (OSHA).

 

  • Monitors assigned cases to ensure compliance with requirements of third party payors

 

  • Performs on-call responsibilities and provides on-call service to patients/families, as assigned.

 

  • Provides effective communication to patient/family, team members, and other health care professionals.

 

  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Nursing skills as defined as generally accepted standards of practice.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
