IPHI is currently recruiting for a Senior Program Manager, Community Health Workforce Strategy and Innovation to manage a growing portfolio of community health worker (CHW) initiatives and special projects related to developing the community health worker workforce and utilizing and sustaining CHW workforce approaches to create health equity. Pending funding, this position will include providing managerial leadership for a major new multi-stakeholder effort to expand the CHW workforce in Virginia to respond and recover from the COVID-19 pandemic and explore innovations in financing CHW service models. IPHI is well-recognized in the region for its work supporting the CHW workforce, and this Senior Program Manager will join a team of staff, including CHWs themselves, who are passionate and experienced in this area.
The Senior Program Manager will lead collaborative public health program development, implementation and evaluation activities, to include a principal focus on developing, effectively engaging, and sustaining community health workers and CHW-based public health approaches. This senior leadership position requires oversight and coordination of high-quality program design and delivery, internal administration and project management, external partnership facilitation, and cultivation of new business opportunities and program portfolio development, among other responsibilities.
Compensation: Salary is contingent upon available grant funding and is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Starting salary is expected to be in the range of $85-95K. Location: The preferred location for this position is Richmond, Virginia, given the likelihood of a significant Virginia geographic focus. IPHI also has offices in Washington, DC and Largo, Maryland, and would consider exemplary candidates located anywhere in the DC-MD-VA region. IPHI currently has a flexible telecommuting policy, though some work time in an office environment may be required in the future.
Travel: Frequent travel throughout Virginia and within the DC-MD-VA region is likely. Business travel costs are reimbursable.
