The Organization:
The Scholarship Academy (TSA) is a comprehensive scholarship preparatory program that teaches low-income, first-generation college students to create realistic college funding strategies. TSA specializes in connecting students to a vital four-year college funding pipeline. Since our inception, we have trained over 10,000 students, helping them to secure more than $40M in private scholarships. The Scholarship Academy's ultimate goal is to help our students take ownership of their financial futures.
The Role:
Recruiting and training Scholarship Academy ambassadors and volunteers to provide our 16 core scholarship curriculum modules; Serving as Scholarship Mentors to our high school students, editing their applications and helping them research scholarships; Communicate with partner organizations, vendors, and sponsors to collaborate on TSA events and programming; Coordinating TSA courses at partner sites, collecting data and reporting outcomes to share with stakeholders, and maintaining student scholarship portfolios; Coordinate external programming supports such as boot camps, GEAR UP workshops, scholarship lunches, and scholarship bus visits; conduct check-ins with students via the Virtual Scholarship Center online tool; Assisting with curriculum development and facilitation at partner sites.
