Job Summary

The Associate Director of Partnerships and Alumni Success, under the leadership of the Director of Student and Alumni Success, will work to ensure that all YouthBuild students are adequately prepared for life after graduation and that YouthBuild has mission critical partnerships that offer high quality opportunities for students and alumni.  The Associate Director will support critical partnership development and maintenance, data and outcomes management, and work to ensure that the evolution of academic and career competencies aligns with feedback from employer and postsecondary partners.  

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develop and implement an integrated curriculum designed to strengthen students’ professional skills and career readiness, that aligns with feedback from employer and postsecondary partners.
  • Lead the strategy for career partnerships and postsecondary data analysis through coaching, problem-solving, monitoring of metrics, and strategy to increase the continuous retention of placement, as well as the quality of placement.
  • Provide regular supervision and support to the Employment Specialist. 
  • Coordinate inhouse opportunities for students and alumni including guest speakers, workshops, college and career fairs 
  • Coordinate career offsite opportunities (ie: job shadowing and internships) 
  • Provide leadership and oversight for the recruitment, onboarding, and evaluation of significant college and career partnerships including but not limited to the This Way Ahead program through Old Navy.
  • Reflect school-wide commitment to developing critical consciousness with young leaders via deep consideration of social identities and racial literacy priorities, especially as it relates to career readiness.
  • Co-facilitate bi-weekly team meetings and professional development opportunities with the Director of Student and Alumni Success.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, and at least three-to-five years of experience in the youth development environment.
  • Ability to motivate staff through effective leadership, mentoring, coaching, development and evaluation.
  • Demonstrated commitment to youth development, education, career development and advancement.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to think strategically, analyze critically and put ideas and insights into action through well-planned programs.
  • Demonstrated project management ability.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented project completion skills

  • FBI - Criminal History Report
  • PATCH - Pennsylvania Police Department - Criminal Background Check (and/or applicable based on State of residency)
  • PA Child Abuse History Clearance
  • TB Test Results
  • Act 24 - Arrest Conviction Form
  • NSOPW - National Sex Offender Clearance
