The Center for Social Change (C4SC) is a nonprofit coworking space for visionaries who are changing the world. We house one of South Florida's first community spaces and coworking environments for mission-driven leaders and organizations including nonprofits and social entrepreneurs. C4SC is seeking an enthusiastic person who cares about our community and can lead our marketing efforts to grow our membership and programs. This person will manage our social media, digital marketing, communications and event planning for our capacity building (“Org Toolkit”) and wellness programs that serve our members and the community.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Marketing / Branding/ Business Strategy:
  • Provide strategic guidance on marketing and branding
  • Lead and guide team on implementation of marketing strategy
  • Develop and maintain SOPs and protocol documents for marketing, events and social media
  • Contribute to development of organization’s goals and priorities
  • Event Planning:
  • Develop leads for, build relationships with, schedule, plan topics and promote presenters/workshop leaders for our Org Toolkit
  • You will be expected to attend majority of Org Toolkit events that you will be planning which may include food/ drink coordination, room set up and tear down; assist with Wellness events as needed (some events occur in the evenings)
  • Plan and carry out events for members and the community which include Bi-monthly Open Houses to recruit new members, workshops/ trainings, member socials, partner events (BFG, WF)
  • Marketing & Communication:
  • Develop and execute marketing and communication campaigns
  • Engage in consistent communication with members and external parties to coordinate events and share about events and offerings
  • Manage social media (Facebook, twitter and Instagram)
  • Act as Cultural Ambassador of C4SC to the public and our members
  • Develop marketing collateral to promote events and programs (with assistance of graphic designer)
  • Revise current communications and marketing material
  • Promote events through digital media
  • Coordinate and communicate with our web developer on website revisions and enhancements

  • Ability to work in a constantly-changing environment
  • While we know no one is truly capable of multi-tasking, this position requires being able to juggle a lot of different tasks during the day. You may be writing a thoughtful email to members in one moment and then get interrupted by a member who has the next best idea ever of a training to offer.
  • Manage to deadlines and timelines – please do not bother applying if you are not naturally organized, able to prioritize, plan projects with accuracy, and make use of tools to help you be effective in your work.
  • Driver personality balanced with thoughtfulness and sensitivity towards team and members’ needs, adaptiveness to change and accountability of actions
  • Excellent at execution and follow through to completion
  • Exhibit enthusiasm about our work and in front of members and the community as you will be doing some public speaking and will engage in networking on behalf of C4SC
  • Attentive to all the nitty gritty that is required to carry out events and develop strong systems for efficient implementation

Required Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; this role requires producing high quality professional written material and interacting with staff, members and community members
  • Customer-service orientation – attentive to our customer’s needs
  • Collaborative approach – skilled at developing partnerships or collaborative relationships with community members who may be presenters or participate in our programs
  • Exceptional project management skills – detail-oriented; we are not attached to any particular project management tool and you can use whatever system works for you
  • Demonstrated understanding of the nonprofit or social enterprise sectors

  • Photo shop/illustrator, Canva or other graphic apps

C4SC offers its members and staff access to wellness and educational programs. Staff can also get involved with community projects.
