The Clinical Specialist will work alongside WIN Academy to lead the agency in the identification and implementation of evidenced-based practices (EBP) in all program services. The Clinical Specialist will be engaged in various initiatives aimed at institutionalizing these practices across the agency and provide on-going feedback to program and administrative staff on progress. The Clinical Specialist will provide onsite clinical consultation and EBP implementation support for Win’s program staff in both transitional and supportive housing programs. Additionally, the Clinical Specialist will facilitate agency-wide training to staff to further promote and increase EBP competency and service delivery. The clinical specialist will report directly to the Clinical Manager.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Stays abreast of new research to ensure that Win is using proven methods - the latest theories, tools, and techniques - in evidence based practice in all programs and services
  • Supports the current work of Win Academy and assists in identifying and developing new EBP training initiatives
  • Organizes and facilitates regularly scheduled agency wide trainings in Motivational Interviewing and Trauma Informed Care
  • Provides monthly onsite 1:1, group coaching and clinical consultation to program staff on Strengths Based Case Management, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Informed Care, Critical Time Intervention and other EBP
  • Engages in establishing interdepartmental relationships throughout the agency to promote the use and implementation of EBPs
  • Collaborates with the Research and Evaluation Department to ensure accurate data entry
  • Identifies outside EBP resources and trainings for the agency as needed
  • Assists in publication/dissemination of our work, as appropriate
  • Other activities as assigned


  • Current LMSW required

·        Minimum 2 years’ experience working with at risk populations in direct clinical work with individuals experiencing acute crises including but not limited to homelessness, mental illness, substance use, trauma, institutionalization, poverty and discrimination

·        Knowledge and expertise with practicing and implementing MI, TIC, CTI, Recovery oriented philosophies and practices as well as other EBPs with clients and in programs

  • Formal or informal team leadership skills and experience
  • Research/Evaluation experience preferred (literature review, writing, evidence based practices)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and excellent time management skills
  • Works well with people of diverse backgrounds
  • Can work independently or as part of a team and is self-motivated
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Must be willing to spend majority of time in the field, travel to and from program sites and transport training materials
