Born This Way Foundation (BTWF) is seeking a Partnerships Associate to assist in building cross-sectoral partnerships that help build a kinder, braver world. We work with a diverse group of partners who are not only interested in supporting our work, but using their own platforms to inspire kindness and support youth mental health within their communities. Our partnership work is both reactive and proactive and strives to create collaborative relationships that maximize impact and value for the Foundation’s mission.

The ideal candidate has excellent organizational and writing skills. They are a self-directed, motivated, and creative thinker with a positive attitude. This position reports to the Director of Partnerships, and will work closely with additional Foundation staff as necessary.

Born This Way Foundation, co-founded and led by Lady Gaga and her mother, Cynthia Germanotta, supports the mental health of young people and works with them to build a kinder and braver world. Through high-impact programming, youth-led conversations, and strategic, cross-sectoral partnerships, the Foundation aims to make kindness cool, validate the emotions of young people, and eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health. Roles + Responsibilities

Assist with research to develop proactive partnership outreach strategy for the Foundation’s programs and goals
Update organizational systems to track conversations, follow-up, and next steps to drive partnerships forward in a timely manner
Draft outreach and follow-up emails to build positive relationships with existing and potential partners
Field incoming partnership requests by email and conference calls
Create partnership activations and opportunities to further the mission of the organization
Create partnership presentations, proposals, and outreach strategies in coordination with members of the Foundation staff
Ensure partnerships are meeting fundraising goals of the organization
Interface with existing partners and support partnership goals, activations, and objectives

Qualifications

Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and has the ability to clearly communicate solutions
Highly organized and detail-oriented thinker who enjoys creating systems and processes
Knowledge of AP Style and a willingness to learn the Foundation’s personal style and brand
Self-starter with a great work ethic, ability to work independently and as part of a team
Passionate about mental health advocacy, specifically with youth, and has the ability to relate well with diverse populations
Proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and Canva

Location

Remote; preferably based in NYC or Boston area; travel requirement up to 15% of year

Time Commitment

Full-time position

Salary Range

$47,000 – $51,000 / year
