The NYU Furman Center invites applications for a Technical Assistance Coordinator to join the Housing Solutions Lab (Lab). Launched in June 2021, the Housing Solutions Lab works with cities to design, plan, and evaluate evidence-based local housing policies that advance racial equity; increase access to opportunity; and improve long-term health and well-being for residents. The Lab serves cities of all sizes, with a focus on small and midsize cities (those with populations of 50,000-500,000).
The Technical Assistance Coordinator will work closely with the Lab’s multidisciplinary leadership team to develop and implement the Lab’s overall technical assistance strategy to help cities address their local housing policy challenges. TA engagements will support cities’ efforts on a range of housing policy topics, including meaningfully engaging community members in policy and program design; designing and implementing policies that increase the availability of safe, affordable housing; and tracking and evaluating the success of housing policy initiatives.
Performance will be evaluated through informal and formal check-ins with the Housing Solutions Lab Executive Director.
To Apply: Applicants should submit a cover letter, resume, writing sample, graduate school transcripts (unofficial copies are acceptable), and a list of 3 references. Send application materials and questions to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include “Lab Technical Assistance Coordinator” in the subject line. Review of applications will begin immediately. Only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
