The Associate Director, Individual Giving and Events is part of LBBC’s Development Team. The selected candidate will create and implement a year-long calendar of fundraising events for the organization, raising approximately $1 - $1.5 million annually. Fundraising events enable LBBC to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward donors who support the revenue growth of the organization. Events will be held both virtually and in person.

 

Event Creation and Management

·      Design and implement events that tell a story about LBBC’s impact. Ensure that donors and sponsors understand their role in impact and that all staff know their roles in stewarding these relationships.

·      Establish event budgets and fundraising goals that ensure a positive return on investment.

·      Act as staff liaison and support volunteers who hold Do It Yourself fundraising events throughout the country.

 

Fundraising

·      Identify, cultivate and steward organizational donors. Work with the Vice President, Development to create donor portfolios for various LBBC staff. 

·      Manage an assigned portfolio of donors. 

·      Create a system to ensure that prospects and donors of assigned portfolio feel connected to the organization, and are actively engaged in appropriate events.

 

Data Management and Analysis

·      Assist in the identification of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); use shared systems to track and report progress toward goals.

·      Ensure that Development strategies are incorporated into existing organizational programming and education initiatives.

 

Development Operations

·      Support LBBC’s strategy to build mutual partnerships with businesses and health organizations. Collaborate with other staff members who work with these partners.

·      Work with Associate Director, Annual Giving to coordinate asks and events that support the overall fundraising strategy. 

 

Key Qualifications

·      Bachelor’s degree in relevant field

·      5 years of high level experience in progressively more responsible roles in fundraising or sales;  preferably, in a nonprofit environment

·      A demonstrated record of successful management of projects and supervising staff

·      Experience contributing to implementing a portion of a strategic direction of an organization

·      Strong computer application skills including word processing, spreadsheet, planning, scheduling and data base programs

·      Exceptional written and oral communication skills

·      Experience with social media is a plus

·      Experience with peer to peer or grassroots fundraising is a plus

·      Ability to travel within the USA
