    Description

    Our school and preschool programs are currently seeking speech therapists and/or clinical fellows to join our team. Reporting to the Coordinator of Speech Services, the Speech Therapist provides speech services to students on a 1:1 basis. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Provide formal and informal speech-language assessment of each student on their caseload.
    • Update ancillary files four times per year.
    • Develop each student’s speech and language curriculum in conjunction with the classroom teacher.
    • Attend clinical meetings and IEP meetings as appropriate.
    • Write IEP goals, objective and updates annually for each student.
    • Maintain daily data collection.
    • Apply data collection and behavior management interventions and reinforcement procedures during therapy sessions in accordance with each child’s behavior management plan and school policies.
    • Participate in parent training program.

    Requirements:

    • Master’s degree required.
    • Possess NYS certification as Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD).
    • CFY or Licensed Pathologist accepted.
    • Experience employing assistive technology and/or behavioral principles (ABA).
    • Availability to work onsite Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm.
