Overview

Full-time leadership position for the management and implementation of program initiatives that advance culturally-sustaining and healing-centered approaches to teaching and learning with youth, educators, and communities during and after school.

Qualifications (Required)
  • A successful track record in the field of education and/or youth development with 5+ years experience
  • Deep knowledge of social justice pedagogies (i.e., critical approaches to learning and facilitation that are responsive to the contexts of the youth and educators in the Amped Network)
  • Ability to skillfully design, plan, implement, and reflect with exceptional follow through as part of a diverse, interdependent team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a range of diverse contexts
  • Highly committed to creating and sustaining transformative, beloved communities with Humanities Amped stakeholders to flexibly meet our shared vision, mission, and goals

Compensation: Annual salary from $45,000-$55,000

Benefits: N/A

Work Location(s): Must be local in Baton Rouge or surrounding area; position is in-person with some flexibility to work from home at times

Schedule: Full-time, 40-hours a week. Work hours are primarily daytime M-F, but sometimes include evenings and weekends (we offer a flex time policy and 2 weeks paid leave in addition to paid holidays)
