The HRBP will work with our expanding Public Health Program division that currently has over 100 employees across 5 continents. Our ideal candidate has a passion for solving complex people challenges and is excited about driving innovation to address talent priorities. The role will include working with programmatic leaders to help with divisional design, employee relations and engagement; as well as partner with managers and supervisors to build and engage our teams through effective people management. Managing multiple stakeholders at various levels with a comfort in negotiating competing priorities and deadlines will also be an essential responsibility of this role. 

The HRBP will also be part of a dynamic global HR team focused on shaping a work environment that aims to be diverse, inclusive, with a continuous learning culture. Collaborating on the design and implementation of new processes and systems including performance management and learning and development will be initiatives the HRBP will be asked to support.

  • Talent acquisition and onboarding support: collaborate with divisional leadership to create workforce plans, support hiring managers in addressing their business needs, and collaborating with divisional leaders to develop and deliver high quality divisional onboarding.
  • Performance management guidance: support divisional and program management reinforcing a continuous feedback culture, coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions.
  • Learning and development support: identify training needs for business units and liaise with Director of Talent Acquisition and Management to address.
  • HR Administration: provide guidance on HR policies and core business processes to reduce legal risk and ensure regulatory compliance. Collaborate with global HR team in areas such as: compensation administration, onboarding and internal investigations. 
  • Ensure diversity, equity and inclusion is embedded into all HR practices.

Skills & Abilities:

·      Experience in all HR functional areas, with strong consult and coaching skills, successfully partnering with business leaders to drive individual, team, and divisional performance

·      Ability to build strong, ongoing, impactful relationships at all organizational levels and across a diverse range of cultural, generational, ethnic, racial, educational, and social backgrounds

·      Excellent written/oral communication skills, confident, persuasive presentation skills, organizational influence, and conflict resolution skills

·      Excellent interpersonal, customer service, negotiation, problem solving skills.

 Experience Required:

·      Experience working in a strategic business partner/leadership role

·      Experience working in a global environment with some non-profit experience highly preferred

Professional Certification:

·      SHRM or HRCI certification a plus



  • Vital Strategies offers highly competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits. Vital welcomes and supports a diverse, inclusive work environment. The candidate much have eligibility to work in the U.S. at time of hire.
