Join the Non-GMO Project as the Office Manager and help us shape the future of North America’s most recognized and rigorous non-GMO product verification program. The Office Manager plays an essential role in maintaining a robust operating structure for a rapidly growing organization. The ideal candidate will have previous experience handling a wide range of office management support, financial tracking, and payroll compliance. This person will be able to work independently, adapt easily to a fast-paced work flow, is well organized and is committed to supporting the administrative challenges and needs of all staff.


  • Support the management of financial tracking systems, quarterly and annual finance reporting, payroll and annual tax filings
  • Serve as the point person for all administrative questions and requests from staff
  • Function as a front-office receptionist for incoming calls and visiting stakeholders 
  • Help coordinate and support the annual budgeting process
  • Maintain organization-wide digital and paper filing system
  • Assist with Human Resource needs across the organization
  • Assist with IT and data support, including software and subscriptions
  • Maintain accurate inventory of office supplies and equipment
  • Help to enforce employee handbook policies and procedures, including compliance with WA state labor laws
  • Support the overall operations of the organization through a wide range of office support and administrative functions
  • Provide operational and finance support to the Director of Operations and the CFO/COO

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years related professional experience
  • Proven experience with bookkeeping best practices and software (preferably QuickBooks)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage Human Resource Information systems
  • Proven ability to assist with financial analysis and reporting through Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe
  • Attention to detail and ability to problem solve
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong editing skills given preference
  • Ability to learn quickly, think systematically and work independently under general instructions
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work plan to meet department and organizational needs
  • Warm, friendly demeanor
  • Intuitive nature with a passion for service
  • Demonstrated commitment to integrity, discretion, trustworthiness and reliability
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
  • Familiarity with Google Drive, Smartsheets, and other organizational technology
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and think creatively, combined with a willingness to take direction
  • Must be able to work on site in Bellingham, WA
