Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a highly-organized Assistant Scientific Writer to support and participate in the development and management of scientific manuscripts and presentations for the Targeted Agent and Profiling Utilization Registry (TAPUR) Study. The selected candidate will also manage staff that supports the development of publications and presentations.


What you will do:

  • Support execution and delivery of publications and presentations according to GPP3 and ICMJE guidelines, and TAPUR Study Policies and Procedures
  • Work with key stakeholders and manage multiple writing groups simultaneously
  • Archive approved publications and drafts, document author participation, reference management, and other critical records
  • Develop and maintain master bibliography of TAPUR references and citations
  • Review materials from contributing team members for accuracy, quality, and adherence to journal format requirements
  • Streamline publications process, track publication plan milestones, develop and create key publications related SOPs
  • Support publication team or related team meetings, taking meeting minutes and follow-up on action items
  • Under the direction of the Study Scientific Writer, participate in the writing, editing, and formatting of scientific manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals
  • Manage staff that supports the development of publications and presentations


What you will need in order to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in health sciences related field
  • 3-5 years’ experience in publication planning and publication development
  • Working knowledge of basic statistics


Ideal candidates will also contribute:

  • Advanced degree preferred in the field of genomics, biology, pharmacology or related field
  • Knowledge and experience in the area of oncology and cancer genomics
  • Project management experience
  • Knowledge of and compliance with GPP3 and ICMJE guidelines
  • Experience in managing personnel preferred
