City Year Chicago is seeking a talented individual to lead our internal Evaluation and Impact Analytics team as the Director of Impact Analytics. The Director of Impact Analytics leads two Managers of Impact Analytics to measure and report on impact goals, analyze and evaluate the success of the service model, and grow as data professionals. The Impact Analytics team together with the Learning & Development and Coaching teams comprise the Service Department, providing support services to members of the City Year Chicago staff and AmeriCorps members throughout the academic year. Additionally, the Director of Impact Analytics serves on the cross-departmental site Senior Leadership Team to drive strategy that promotes the long-term sustainability of the site.

Responsibilities

Data Collection and Systems Management

  • Support the triaged setup of City Year’s core systems (Salesforce, Workday, SharePoint) to ensure timely connection of information from one system to another.
  • Ensure tracking systems are implemented to collect necessary data to monitor progress, analyze results, and report impact to necessary stakeholders in accordance with FERPA.
  • Maintain a schedule of data cleaning practices throughout the year.
  • Set up data collection from UAT and automated data sharing

Program Operations

  • Execute on start of year tasks to support the launch of WSWC service program in City Year partners schools including data informed student selection into the City Year program.
  • Monitor progress of Tier 1 and Tier 2 services through high accountability practices and protocols including 4 Disciplines of Execution (4DX).
  • Collaborate with Senior Impact Leadership to guide field staff through school specific barriers to ensure service model fidelity and impact goals are met; provide individualized support as needed.

Reporting and External Partner Relationships

  • Train AmeriCorps and Senior AmeriCorps members in data practices and provide ongoing support and coaching on data entry and reading results to make data-informed practice decisions.
  • Externally represent City Year’s work and serve as a liaison between key stakeholders at the district and City Year Headquarters to secure and implement data sharing automation.
  • Create relevant data visualizations to monitor and analyze program delivery and impact.

People and Site Advancement

  • Design the vision and plan for achieving an increased data fluency across the site from AmeriCorps members to the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Work with other departments to develop new system(s) and policies to improve data collection, integrity, and dissemination of work.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and individual check-ins with two Managers of Impact Analytics to provide feedback, support, and connections to professional development opportunities.
  • Communicate regularly with supervisor to problem solve and prioritize projects and tasks.

Additional Experience and Qualifications Needed:

  • Bachelor's degree or extensive relevant experience required
  • Basic knowledge of K-12 data systems, CPS knowledge preferred
  • Comfortable with MS Office suite of software products, e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, SharePoint
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel required and willingness to learn new systems
  • Experience with statistical analysis software or programming language preferred. (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, minitab, SAS, etc.) 
  • Effective communication and organizational skills; must demonstrate attention to detail. 
  • Comfort with (and an interest in) collaborating and presenting information to internal and external audiences. 
  • Experience managing multiple projects or tasks with competing deadlines. 
  • Ability to work well independently and in a collaborative team environment. 
  • Belief in youth as agents of social change. 
  • City Year/AmeriCorps/Peace Corps experience is a plus
