Position Summary:
The League is seeking a full-time Democracy Policy Analyst to develop, advance, and lead the League’s voting rights and democracy reform initiatives. The Democracy Policy Analyst will spearhead the League’s democracy portfolio, including redistricting reform and public engagement, campaign finance reform, and voting rights policy.
The ideal candidate will have the heart of an organizer and the mind of an analyst, with a deep commitment to protecting and defending democracy. As we build our organizational capacity to promote our mission, we are seeking a self-starter comfortable with diving right into the work. The Policy Analyst will:
Experiences and Skills Preferred
2-3 years advocacy, policy, or organizing experience preferred. Expectations include ability to organize volunteers and mobilize public engagement, build coalitions, and develop and advance public policy.
Strong writing and public speaking skills, including comfort with speaking with the media.
Experience creating effective communications to win advocacy campaigns and organize engagement a plus.
Knowledge of online advocacy tools and comfort with various technological platforms to engage with audiences, including EveryAction, Voter Activation Network (VAN), Outreach Circle, Canva, Hootsuite, Adobe Creative Suite or similar a plus. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Teams.
Must be able to manage multiple projects and campaigns at once, meet deadlines, work in a team and with minimal supervision.

Compensation and Benefits:
● This is a full-time position that reports to the Executive Director.
● Salary is $50,000 - $55,000.
● This is a remote position until further notice. In the future, candidates can expect a combination of working from home, working on-site in Trenton, and extensive travel around the state. A typical week might include 2 days in the office, 2 days working from home, and 1 day in the field. Working nights and weekends is common.
● Benefits include an employer paid health plan (for employee only).
