About the Street Team

Georgia has two U.S. Senate seats up for grabs during this runoff election. It is critical that everyone returns to the polls to vote on January 5th. To aid turnout, the Georgia Working Families Party is launching a statewide canvass operation to educate, empower, and get our folks to the polls.

Responsibilities and Duties

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Contactless canvass neighborhood doors to drop off important election materials and reminders and brief discussion with voters.
  • Track data in our canvassing tool and in our database on a regular basis.
  • Check-in weekly with your supervisor about your progress and team GOTV goals.
  • Communicate with your supervisor daily about your shifts and availability.
  • Represent the organization professionally and effectively to the public.

 Qualifications

  • No experience necessary, but you must be highly motivated and eager to engage with community members.
  • This position requires working irregular hours and weekends. 
  • You must have access to a smartphone.
  • You must be able to work a minimum of 32 hours per week. 

 What Else Should You Know

This is a temporary position that will run through the Georgia US Senate runoff on January 5, 2021. The pay for this role is $15 per hour.
