About the David Lynch Foundation

The David Lynch Foundation (“DLF” or the “Foundation”) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that was founded in 2005 to address the epidemic of trauma and toxic stress among underserved populations through the implementation of the evidence-based Transcendental Meditation (TM) technique. DLF delivers this program by bringing a simple, evidence-based meditation intervention to its core target populations: veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress and their families, healthcare workers on the frontlines of the COVID pandemic, domestic violence survivors, and young people in high crime, high need areas.  DLF has three regional offices: its operational headquarters in New York City, Washington, DC, and Los Angeles. One of the Foundation’s primary long-term objectives is to make TM widely accessible to all who will benefit from it – with cost to the individual not being a barrier.

The Opportunity

This key staff member will be part of a dynamic team that is leading the wellness sector in a post-COVID landscape. Specifically, this person will support the teaching of Transcendental Mediation to veterans, front-line healthcare workers, domestic violence survivors, and other high-trauma populations. This includes managing the process of scheduling TM teaching for multiple instructors and data entry for teaching and expenses.

  • Schedule teaching and follow-up sessions for several TM Teachers by coordinating their calendars - ensuring that there are no conflicts and confirming all relevant details are correct (name, location, contact information, etc.)
  • Provide administrative support to New York-based TM Teachers
  • Maintain and update Salesforce database
  • Accurately log teacher expenses in Certify
  • Verify that conference rooms are available and booked for each session
  • Confirm that relevant training information is disbursed via emails before each session
  • Additional responsibilities as required

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of scheduling experience
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Comfortable interfacing with new and existing partners
  • Skilled in prioritizing workload and meeting deadlines

  • Experience with database entry with platforms such as Salesforce
  • Experience with expense management systems such as Certify
  •  Strong attention to detail
  • Strong follow-up skills
  • Professional demeanor with a keen understanding of the importance of confidentiality
