Analyst Position Summary

Mi’s work includes conducting needs assessments, facilitating planning, and supporting partners to implement and continuously improve strategies that increase equitable experiences and outcomes for all students. We also support the development and implementation of district school improvement zones, cross-district school improvement networks and state-wide school improvement strategies. We are seeking an Analyst to join our staff as a member of the School Improvement team.  At Mass Insight, An Analyst provides general support for projects, focuses on the collection and organization of information, prepares materials, and provides logistical support in order to enhance client experience.

Within 12 months in the role, a new Analyst on the Mi team will typically be able to take on the buckets of work listed below:

Project Management & Operations

●     Manage all internal and external meeting operations (e.g. setting up Zoom meetings, managing technology, ensuring the meeting experience is seamless)

●     Update project plans and tracking follow-up tasks

Client Engagement

●     Join client meetings and serve as the point-person for all notes, updates to the internal project management system, leading on follow-up, and create 80% ready drafts of materials to finalize with the team

●     Take information that is in draft or outline form and move it closer to a polished, client-ready version

●     Lead qualitative and quantitative data analysis (e.g. pivot tables, data visualization, coding interview notes, etc.) 

●     Synthesize information from multiple sources (reports, research, documents, etc.), distill the key points, and present in a way that resonates with the internal team and clients

●     Execute focus groups and administer surveys independently

●       Create facilitation tools and resources to support client-facing work sessions (e.g., graphic organizers, activity templates, participant handouts, etc.) 

Internal Work

●     Participate actively in all staff meetings (calls, quarterlies)

Qualifications

Top candidates for this role must:

●     Have at least 2 years of experience

●     Hold a bachelor's degree

●     Have a willingness to travel 1-2x per month on average

●     Possess comfort and experience with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)

Preferred candidates will:

●     Have 3+ years of experience

●     Advanced degree in related field

●     Have experience working in or with schools and/or school systems and/or the orgs that support schools (districts, state agencies, nonprofits, charter management orgs, etc.)
