The Associate Director of FS Programs (AD) is responsible for overseeing the department that provides services for a portfolio of fiscally sponsored client organizations that are quasi-independent nonprofits. Working closely with the Senior Finance Manager and the Finance team, the AD will oversee the Operations Managers that provide support in intake, finance, consulting, human resources, legal and organizational development, ensuring that client organizations achieve long-term goals through the receipt of effective and courteous operational support.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Management and Supervision:
- Ensure effective and efficient day-to-day operations of a program management team serving 80+ nonprofit organizations with assets totaling over $40M;
- Lead and manage a team of Operations Coordinators/Managers who are responsible for coordination of services for client organizations with budgets that range between $100,000 and $5M;
- In partnership with the Finance team, design and implement grants, awards, and donor management processes, procedures, and reporting tools;
- Develop, implement, and refine procedures, processes, templates, and reporting tools to support client organizations in their regular analysis, assessments, and updating of program portfolios;
- Train and develop Operations Coordinators/Managers, including developing onboarding tools and ongoing trainings;
- Support healthy team dynamics and collaboration.
Program Management and Oversight:
- Ensure cross-organizational support of FS services by collaborating regularly with the Associate Director of Finance; Ensure integration between Operations Administrators/Managers and Finance Managers supporting like projects;
- Work collaboratively as needed with Human Resources Director, Controller, Chief Financial Officer and Director of Programs to address complex, strategic issues within projects;
- Communicate regularly with FS projects, ensuring they are receiving excellent service, and resolving issues that are elevated;
- Serve as a resource for FS staff on organizational development and management best practices;
- As needed, review FS program/grant reports to identify issues;
- Ensure clear, accurate, and timely program and grant reporting is provided;
- Ensure program/grant review processes and reports flag potential organizational, grant related and financial risks for client organizations;
- Oversee reporting to projects (monthly and real time) and funders to promote clarity and usefulness, as well as ensure that systems fully capture compliance with funder requirements;
- Define the strategic position of the FS program in terms of impact and sustainability. Implement and monitor through program planning, ongoing learning and evaluation;
- Work as part of the TSNE program team to address opportunities for improvement of overall fiscal sponsorship services;
- Work collaboratively with TSNE staff to assess potential new business development opportunities;
- Represent TSNE with National Network of Fiscal Sponsors;
· Represent the program internally, collaborating with other TSNE departments to develop coordinated cross-organizational initiatives, including strategically designed and implemented capacity building services and tools. Undertake other tasks that are consistent with the position, as assigned by the Supervisor.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

· Five or more experience in nonprofit leadership position;
· Experience with managing budgets preferred;
· Prior experience working in grants management helpful;
· Strong project management skills;
· Outstanding relationship management skills with significant experience;
· Proficiency with MS Office suite and enterprise information systems such as Salesforce;
· Ability to pay close attention to detail;
· Demonstrated skill in providing a high level of service to multiple clients, ideally in a nonprofit context;
· Experience working as part of a team delivering coordinated services highly desirable;
· Superior written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated diplomacy and tact;
· Strong track record working flexibly in demanding situations;
· Good creative problem-solving skills;
· Ability to manage multiple timelines and reporting processes;
· Ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities;
· Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-cultural environment;
· Commitment to the work of social and economic justice organizations;
