We are a 501(c)3 non-profit Dog Rescue that specializes in pulling dogs from the high kill shelters of Central California and the streets of Mexico.
During a typical day you meet with people who have scheduled appointments and walk-ins. You spend time introducing dogs to prospective adopters. You will review adopter applications to be sure the adopter and dog make a good fit. You will likely experience a unique sense of glee when you watch a person, couple, or family leave the shelter with their new pet.
You must be detail oriented, possess strong written and spoken communication skills. Ideally you are outgoing and love talking to people.
Other responsibilities:
Observe interactions between potential adopters and dogs
Review adoption applications, arrange appointments for veterinary procedures
Process and file adoption paperwork, process adoption fees
Educate owners about pet care and training
Coordinate with our fosters to ensure our dogs are available for adoption appointments
Must be 18 years of age or older
