ABOUT THE DIRECTOR OF PRODUCT ROLE

Reporting to the Chief Impact Officer (CIO), you will play a critical role in defining success for SaverLife and ensuring we achieve our ambitious goals. You will lead the product team, manage the development process end-to-end end and contribute regularly to SaverLife’s overall strategy and direction.


Product Development (80%)

● Lead a cross-functional process to define product vision and strategy and create prioritized roadmaps aligned with SaverLife’s impact goals.

● Set clear and measurable objectives and deploy resources appropriately to achieve product goals.

● Drive all phases of product development: ideation, design, development, and rollout.

● Oversee the delivery of crisp product requirements that are easily understood by technical and nontechnical audiences.

● Manage a remote engineering team ensuring quality and accountability in development.

● Deliver an excellent customer experience, continually raising the bar on functionality, usability, and simplicity.

● Manage, coach, and inspire SaverLife’s internal Product Team, including UI/UX, Analytics, Product

Management, and Member Support.

● Co-lead SaverLife’s Fraud Detection and Investigation team to deepen expertise and implement practices to elevate user trust and prevent fraud.


Organizational Strategy and Leadership (20%)

● Serve as a critical thought leader contributing the Product perspective to SaverLife’s Senior Team.

● Model and actively build SaverLife’s lean culture of rapid iteration and user-centricity.

● Champion operational excellence by establishing metrics and processes for regular assessment and improvement.

● Represent SaverLife to clients, partners, funders, and other external networks as needed.

● Collaborate with other SaverLife teams to help them achieve their objectives.


WHO YOU ARE

● You are a Product Management rock star who wants to use your powers to improve the financial health and well-being of millions of US households by creating real change.

● You love the challenge of gathering, analyzing, and translating market and customer behavior into high impact initiatives and real product requirements.

● You enjoy owning the entire product development process and leading a team to success.

● You thrive in a constantly changing environment with an intense customer focus.

● You are unafraid to champion your ideas to internal or external stakeholders and enjoy communicating technical complexities to a non-technical audience.

● You excel at running cross-functional teams and enjoy coaching and mentoring team members.


WHAT YOU BRING

● BS/BA required, technical degree a plus.

● 5+ years’ experience as a Product Owner building successful enterprise software products.

● A proven track record of developing compelling technical roadmaps, story outlines, writing user stories, grooming product backlogs, and coordinating/prioritizing conflicting requirements.

● 3+ years’ experience building and leading a product team in end-to-end development.

● Experience with mobile apps, gamification or behavior change a plus

● Familiarity with Jira, Figma, Balsamiq, UserTesting.com, Asana, Mural or similar tools desirable.

JOB LOCATION (SaverLife is currently operating virtually)

San Francisco preferred but other locations considered. Travel may be required post COVID-19.
