Job Description

POSITION TITLE:         Behavioral Health Program Director      

REPORTS TO:              Executive Director

SUPERVISES:              Behavioral Health Program staff

STATUS/PAY:             Full time exempt / DOE

SUMMARY: Under the supervision and in consultation with the

executive director, this position is responsible for the daily management of

ReWA’s Behavioral Health Program operations at multi-sites including: all

planning, funding, monitoring, and evaluation activities.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.     Responsible for hiring, training, performance evaluation and guiding the professional development of staff.

2.     Provide on-going supervision to ensure treatment is clinically appropriate, effective and meets professional and ethical standards.

3.     Conduct regular clients’ file reviews and audits to ensure quality client care and WACs

and contracts’ compliance.

4.     Ensure client paperwork, including intakes, progress reports, and treatment plans are up to date and in compliance with regulatory standards.

5.    Conduct overall assessment of the effectiveness of the Program, identify and address

strengths and weaknesses.

6.     Market and build partnerships with community organizations, service providers, and

other entities to work collaboratively in support of Program activities. 

7.     Build and maintain solid client base. 

8.     In collaboration with the Finance Director, develop and manage the Program’s

budget.

9.     Responsible for timely and accurate contract invoicing and reports.

10.  Ensure all contractual and Program goals and outcomes are met; attend external

meetings.

11.  Responsible for reviewing and updating ReWA’s Behavioral Health policies, manual, and

procedures per State and WACs requirements; submit annual licensing application.

12.  Liaison activities with ReWA’s Programs to optimize continuity of care.

13.  Oversee weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual statistical reports.

14.  Responsible for preparation for audits to ensure compliance.

15.  Attend management, staff meetings and agency’s trainings.

16.  Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1.    Master’s Degree in Psychology or related field with at least 5 years of providing direct services 

and at least  3-5 years  of management and administrative experience; Must be a licensed Mental Health Professional. 

2.    Demonstrated experience in individual, family, and group counseling as well as case management and community support services.

3.    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

4.    Reliable transportation and WA state driver’s license.

5.    Excellent leadership, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.

6.     Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and to meet deadlines.

7.    Ability to work effectively in a multiethnic environment with sensitivity to and respect for diverse cultures, opinions, and values.

8.    Two years knowledge of and experience in program management, evaluation and budgeting preferred.

9.    Occasional nights and weekends required.

10.  Commitment to teamwork and collaboration.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. 5-7 years of direct services.
  2. 5-7 years of management and administrative experience. 
  3. Approved Supervisor and Ethnic Minority Mental Health status.
