We are looking for an Individual Giving and Digital Fundraising Specialist to grow online revenue and support our annual giving, membership, and major gifts programs. This dynamic individual will implement our online solicitation, cultivation, and stewardship strategies. This includes coordinating and creating engaging email appeal campaigns, online forms and surveys, peer to peer fundraisers, crowdfunding campaigns, automated email communication streams, multi-channel efforts, tax acknowledgement letters and emails, e-newsletters, and prospect management and research.
This position reports to the Director of Annual Giving and Membership and will join a collaborative team (Development Operations Manager and Director of Major Gifts) that is building the major donor pipeline by engaging members, Science News subscribers, science competition alumni, and more through our world-renowned programs.
This position calls for a candidate with experience in donor relations, digital fundraising, audience strategy, writing, project management, and – most importantly – a passion for science.
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree, at least 3 years of experience, and experience with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge or other CRM databases, Luminate or similar email marketing platforms, and Microsoft Office. Experience with social media (Facebook) and WordPress is preferred.
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week). The ability to travel occasionally is necessary. Our office is located near the Dupont Circle and Farragut North Metro stations. This position will be work from home until August 31, 2020 with possible extensions.
