Social Worker/Program Coordinator

We are a small, membership-based, non-profit organization serving the needs of children in the Washington, D.C. area. Our workforce consists of motivated, passionate and supportive employees working together to further the mission of our organization. This position works with the Girls on the Rise Program Director to administer the community services program at the Mary Virginia Merrick Center in Southeast Washington, DC. The Program Coordinator will work in our after-school, summer camp and family support programs serving girls ages 8 – 18 in Ward 8. Focus will be on planning for, managing, and providing programs for participants and their families, and collecting and analyzing impact data. Candidates must have the ability to establish and maintain educational and community-based partnerships, work directly with youth and their families, and implement program/individual evaluations and document impact. Three – five years’ experience working in community-based settings with at-risk populations preferred. Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, education, community outreach or related field required, Master’s degree in social work preferred. Interested candidates should email their resume to jceleste@christchilddc.org.
