In carrying out its mission, the Fund operates its Partner Project Program, which provides management, fiscal and human resource support to start up projects and existing nonprofits. Trauma Smart is a Partner Project of the Fund.
Trauma Smart is an innovative, model of trauma informed practice, utilized by early childhood professionals, parents and mental health providers. We work with early childhood programs to create safe, healthy environments for children to learn, grow and succeed. The program is a community prevention program of Crittenton Children’s Center in Kansas City, MO.
We are looking for master's level mental health or education professionals to provide training for early childhood agencies in New York City. This position also provides consultation for agency administration and on-site coaches in the Trauma Smart model. This position requires travel in the New York City area with possible occasional travel to Kansas City or to present at regional or national conferences.
Training in trauma informed models will be provided.
Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Education or related field. 1 to 3 years of experience as a trainer.
Knowledge of trauma informed practices, early childhood education, Attachment, Self-Regulation, and Competency (ARC), Spanish or other languages is a plus.
