TITLE: Clinical Program Assistant

SCHEDULE: Full-time position, 40 hours per week

SALARY: $60,000 annually

BENEFITS: Health, Dental, and Vision insurance; Commuter stipend

HCN’s services are designed to meet the unique needs of each child and family. Our work with families is strengths-based, and both respectful of and responsive to cultural and linguistic differences in various communities. 

The Clinical Program Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Therapists, Case Managers, Clinical Supervisors, and Directors that make up our clinical team. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Being the first point of contact for clients and community partners interested in agency programs and services
• Coordinating client referrals between community partners and clinical team, including checking MediCal eligibility, maintaining clinic records, and providing follow-ups as needed
• Supporting HCN Directors with tasks related to clinical and program needs
• Maintaining HCN’s clinic to maximize client utility and comfort
• Supporting ongoing meetings for clinical team meetings
• Supporting onboarding of new clinical team members

Our comprehensive clinical services enable us to work closely with each family to understand their needs and to connect them to HCN's internal resources and our external partners. We form a trusted relationship and follow our clients over time, providing security and stability that allows them to become more stable and confident, raise healthy and emotionally independent children, and develop skills and training that will help lift them out of the cycle of homelessness.

About you!

• Preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in a mental health-related field
• Excellent boundaries and communication skills, with adherence to client confidentiality
• Warm and personable, with a thoughtful approach to building community relationships
• Organized, with the ability to take initiative and follow through with tasks independently
• Thrive in independent work while coming alive in a community of like-minded colleagues
• Invested in the mental health and wellbeing of children and families in San Francisco, especially those with Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) identities
• Open to working remotely based on COVID-19 safety guidelines, but willing to travel throughout San Francisco to meet with community partners as needed once safely able to do so
