    Description

    Program & Event Coordinator

    The Program & Event Coordinator assists in the planning, organization, marketing, and coordination of in-person and online conferences, programming, and special events. The Program & Event Coordinator works collaboratively with all departments and reports to the Program & Event Manager.

    Primary Responsibilities

    Assist the Program & Event Manager to:

    • Perform various administrative procedures relating to the planning, development, and execution of programming and events, including an annual conference and gala.
    • Develop and implement marketing plans and promotional materials.
    • Develop relationships with professional associations and artist groups in host cities to promote and discuss conference/event services.
    • Coordinate services for events, such as accommodations, transportation for participants, catering, signage, displays, translation, audio-visual equipment, printing, and security.
    • Organize registration of event participants, including setup of event software.
    • Plan entertainment and social gatherings for event participants.
    • Recruit, train, and supervise temporary event staff and volunteers.
    • Maintain records and prepare reports.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training and experience
    • Experience in event planning and implementation

    • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
    • Strong planning, decision-making, and problem-solving
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

    Knowledge of art history and contemporary art practices, and/or experience with arts organizations is preferred but not required.

    This position is hybrid virtual/in-person based in Pittsburgh, with some required travel.

    Benefits

    The ISC provides the following benefits to Full Time employees effective 90 days following the employment date:

      • Ten days paid vacation after 3 months of continuous employment,

    Pro-rated at the accrued rate of .193 days of each week worked beginning Jan. 1st.

      • As per NJ Paid Sick Time Law, you are entitled to 1 hour of sick time for every 30 actual work hours
      • Two floating days if worked for the full year from Jan 1 to Dec 31
      • Twelve paid Holidays annually
