The TEAK Fellowship is currently seeking applicants for the full-time position of Administrative Assistant. TEAK is a privately funded not-for-profit organization that believes that motivation and potential, not economic circumstances, should determine a student’s future. The Administrative & Office Coordinator serves as the backbone of the organization assisting all departments and directly supporting the Executive Director. The Coordinator will be an integral member of a committed and collaborative team of 15 employees as it begins a program expansion. A commitment to TEAK’s mission, an eagerness to to learn, and willingness to go above and beyond are essential to being successful in this role.

Key Responsibilities

Business Operations

  • Perform administrative duties for the organization
  • Coordinate office-wide celebrations and events
  • Manage TEAK’s main phone lines and respond to constituent inquiries
  • Assist with office mailings, filing, and other administrative duties

Communications & Development Projects

  • Serve as a system administrator for TEAK’s information management system on Salesforce (don’t worry, we will train you!)
  • Assist the Development staff with tracking and acknowledging donations
  • Assist the Development staff with event coordination
  • Serve as Executive Assistant for the Executive Director and assist with maintaining his calendar
  • Manage TEAK’s social media accounts and assist with Communications strategy


  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Strong commitment to TEAK’s mission of educational access and success for underrepresented populations
  • At least one year of work experience (internships or career) in an administrative role
  • Ability to interface with all of TEAK’s constituents from prospective students and families, to donors and board members
  • Ability to work some evenings and weekends
  • Excellent administrative, written and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Problem solver and team player
  • Sense of humor and the ability to be flexible in a fast-moving environment
