About the Role
The Regional Program Manager will lead day-to-day program execution while also serving as Food Connect’s key representative in the Twin Cities, building trusted relationships with partners and the community. This role balances hands-on program management with external representation, ensuring Food Connect’s impact is both operationally excellent and deeply rooted in community needs.

Monday through Friday 9:00am- 5:00pm
Responsibilities
Program Operations & Logistics
- Oversee daily food rescue, delivery, and distribution operations across Twin Cities programs.
- Manage driver workforce scheduling, dispatch, and performance to ensure reliability and efficiency.
- Track and analyze program data (deliveries, pounds of food, partner reach) to ensure KPIs are met.
- Troubleshoot operational challenges in real time, maintaining high standards of quality and dignity in service delivery.
- Collaborate with the national operations team to align processes, technology, and reporting.
- 10-15% may support cross-market and national efforts.
Partnership & Community Engagement
- Serve as Food Connect’s local representative to community partners, funders, and coalitions.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with food donors, recipient organizations, and community leaders.
- Represent Food Connect at community meetings, events, and speaking engagements.
- Partner with local advisory councils and stakeholders to integrate community voice into program design and evaluation.
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare regular impact reports highlighting program metrics, challenges, and successes.
- Ensure compliance with funder requirements, food safety standards, and internal protocols.
- Contribute insights and lessons learned to inform Food Connect’s national strategy.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in program management and proven program launch and execution required.
- Proven ability to manage day-to-day operations and ensure programs run smoothly and effectively.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with experience representing an organization to external partners and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Comfortable using Google Workspace, Excel/Sheets, and project management tools (e.g., Asana).
- Resident of the Twin Cities metro area with knowledge of local communities; familiarity with the food system is a strong plus but not required.
- Deep commitment to equity, community-driven solutions and service..
- Ability to travel within the Twin Cities region for key stakeholder meetings.
