TASK is in search of a Full Time Receiving & Store Room Specialist. This position calls for a person that can multi-task, is very organized and has great customer service skills. This position is in charge of greeting donors in a friendly manner, receiving donations, and ensuring all donations are properly sorted and stored in the proper locations.

Expected Achievements:

·        Maintain an inventory of the pantry

·        Maintain an inventory of the walk-in refrigerator and freezer

·        Maintain an inventory of all donated non-food items

·        Maintain proper storage and labeling of all government allocated products

·        Positive interactions with TASK donors and volunteers

·        Record and date all deliveries of donated food and food supplies

·        Ensure the receiving area is staffed at all times and all deliveries are processed, stored and accounted for

·        Ensure products are properly distributed from building and have proper authorization to be removed

·        Ensure all products are rotated and used FIFO

·        Other related tasks as assigned by Executive Director or Manager, Kitchen and Food Services

Back up Van Driver

·        The van is picked up daily from off-site location

·        Scheduled pickups of donations and supplies are completed in a timely and courteous manner

·        TASK staff are informed of news or information from donors and vendors

·        Donations and supplies are unloaded accounted for

·        Food is delivered to satellite sites on time

·        Used supplies are picked up at satellite sites and brought back to TASK





Necessary Skills and Abilities:

Ability to read and speak appropriately to fulfill the responsibilities of the position

Ability to work as part of a team

Attention to detail

Focus on cleanliness and sanitation

PC skills, particularly WORD and EXCEL

Ability to work while standing for extended periods of time

Ability to stoop and bend to load and unload vehicles and crates

Ability to lift 50 lbs. and place materials on high shelves if necessary


Required Credentials:

High School Education or equivalent

Ability to get Servsafe certification within 3 months of hire

Experience in receiving/inventory control

Current violation free driver’s license
