The Dominican Sisters of Sparkill, New York are seeking an experienced Director of Holistic Health and Wellness to lead a collaborative health and wellness team to provide quality services and programs in a setting that reflects the mission of the Dominican Sisters. The Director guides and implements an evolving person-centered care plan for our Sisters. The position is full-time (40 hours).

Key Responsibilities:

·        Leads the Holistic Health and Wellness Team in promoting a residence focused on wellness and person-centered practices

·        Works directly with the Congregation’s Executive Team and assists in identifying and responding to current needs and priorities of the Congregation

·        Collaborates and fosters a high standard of compassionate and person-centered services for the members

·        Cultivates meaningful relationships among community members, care partners, and staff

·        Ensures program quality and organizational stability through the development, implementation, and regular evaluation of standards, controls, systems and procedures

·        Serves as an advocate to ensure essential support services are provided to the Sisters

Experience and Qualifications:

·        Master’s Degree in Nursing or BSN with equivalent experience in Health Care with progressive leadership roles

·        Management or administrator level experience in a senior living residence or other congregate residential setting where services are provided

·        Strong understanding of community health and resources

·        Proven record of experience in similar role and/or able to demonstrate clear understanding of holistic wellness

·        Experience in the development of operational and strategic planning and execution

·        Experience in building and leading collaborative teams

·        Experience in leading or supporting a person-centered culture of care

·        Experience with organizational change management

Position Requirements:

·        Experience in Microsoft Office

·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·        Position requires:

  • Occasional availability during evenings or on weekends
  • Comfort with the use of technology to facilitate services and operations
