We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Accounting and HR Associate to support the Director of Finance & Human Resources. The Accounting and HR Associate manages day-to-day financial procedures (80%) and assists with human resources coordination (20%). You will be processing accounting records, revising and updating financial reports, and preparing financial data for audits and reviews. You will also assist with employee benefits and support on-boarding of new employees.

To ensure success as an Accounting and HR Associate, you should have a strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, good organizational skills, and an excellent working knowledge of accounting software. You should be prepared to offer your skills in finance and accounting to support Calvary in its efforts for excellence in achieving our mission of ending women’s homelessness in DC. 

Salary commensurate with experience

Requirements:

  • Associate Degree in Accounting or Bachelor's degree in Accounting (preferred)
  • At least two years' experience working in a similar position
  • Proficiency in financial management software such as QuickBooks
  • Knowledge of nonprofit accounting/bookkeeping, financial management and human resources
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Great analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Superb organizational and time-management skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to the values of diversity, inclusiveness and empowerment
  • Work on-site at least 1 days a week

Salary

The anticipated salary for this position is $60K, final offer will be based on candidate qualifications and experience.
