YWCA Brooklyn is expanding the scope and reach of its community programs and is seeking to fill several new positions to support the organization’s recent growth. YWCA Brooklyn’s mission is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace justice freedom and dignity for all. The organization is Brooklyn’s largest and oldest nonprofit serving women and girls. YWCA Brooklyn furthers its mission by providing 300 units of safe, affordable housing for low-income women, most of whom are survivors of gender-based violence; a college access and leadership program serving 400 low-income girls of color; education and legal assistance for immigrant women; and a community center that is a nexus for over 100 progressive grassroots organizations.


The YWCA Brooklyn seeks a full-time Assistant Director of Housing to oversee compliance for its 300 unit permanent affordable housing program for women.  Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in housing compliance, leasing and management. Knowledge LIHTC, HPD, HOME, HDC, HCR and voucher programs required. This position reports to the Director of Housing and works collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to assure full regulatory compliance.


Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of experience in affordable or supportive housing regulation and compliance. Must have the ability to work well with diverse populations, strong verbal and written communication, meticulous organizational skills, proven ability to meet deadlines, work collaboratively and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
