Summary:

The Director of Programming serves as a leader in the organization and provides daily supervision to program managers/instructors to assist with providing overall quality education and performance results. Responsibilities generally include curriculum design, development, staff training and evaluation, management of students, and retention monitoring.


Duties and Responsibilities:

▪         Daily management of all Philadelphia OIC programs.

▪         Oversee development of curriculum, assessments, completion criteria and program evaluation methods.

▪         Develop systems to ensure consistent, high-quality program management and evaluation.

▪         Ensure ongoing programmatic compliance and success. Including: implementation of programs, managing timelines and resources needed to achieve program and organizational goals.

▪         Cultivate existing relationships and develop new relations with current and prospective stakeholders in business and industry, governmental agencies, industry partnerships, community organizations and workforce development and education partners.

▪         Develop the necessary systems, processes and tools to support the facilitation, collection and sharing of data and knowledge generated by workforce programs.

▪         Responsible for hiring, training, ensuring completion of orientations, monitor completion of faculty development and in-service opportunities.

▪         Provide direct and daily supervision to Program Managers.

▪         Monitor student attendance, grades, retention, academic status, classroom observations, and instructor evaluations.

▪         Prepare budgets for programs and monitor expenses.

▪         Adherence to Funder criteria and program policies and procedures.

▪         Assess, monitor, guide, and create workforce/ education programs and initiatives to ensure alignment with the Organization’s strategic plan and workforce goals.

▪         In collaboration with the Executive Team, source for new funding opportunities, develop grant proposals, and assist with administering grant awards.

▪         Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications/Skills:

▪      Ability to work in a team environment, while also working independently.

▪      Demonstrated capacity to handle multiple tasks, projects and meet deadlines.

▪      Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.

▪      Cultural knowledge of key populations served by the organization.

▪      Experience working with individuals with diverse backgrounds.

▪      Experience working with high-risk populations.

▪      Ability to utilize Microsoft Office products at a proficient level.

▪      Experience with Salesforce or other cloud-based technologies.

▪      Must have strong administrative and organizational skills.

▪      Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.

▪      Ability to develop strong relationships with diverse groups of who may have conflicting interests and opinions.


Education/Experience:

▪      A Bachelor’s degree is the minimum requirement, preferably in a related discipline (Human Resources, Training and Development.)

▪      Minimum 5 years of experience managing education, non-profit, human resources and/or workforce development training programs with a verifiable track record of excellence.

▪      Previous experience with non-profit fundraising a plus.
