The Boston Club Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

The Boston Club (TBC) is seeking a change champion, a proven and high-impact CEO, to take The Boston Club into the next stage of our evolution. Throughout our impactful history, The Boston Club has been a premier organization for executive and professional women and the CEO will build upon this legacy.

 The (CEO) drives the expansion and execution of The Boston Club’s vision and mission of advancing women’s leadership. The CEO ignites engagement of our members, engages sponsors and builds relationships with multiple external stakeholders across all sectors. The CEO reports to the Board of Directors and is responsible for advancing revenue growth, energizing stakeholders, and building strategic partnerships. The CEO has managerial responsibility for internal staff, contractors, and volunteers.

 Role Responsibilities

 1. Advance The Boston Club’s Vision for Diversity in Women’s Leadership. The CEO is accountable for successfully executing TBC’s priorities of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging within and among our stakeholder communities, including membership, board of directors, sponsors, and the community at large, and through all TBC Offerings. (Expected through all areas of responsibility.)

 2. Leading Development, Outreach and Revenue Growth. Amplify the Club’s Voice. The CEO will differentiate The Boston Club, driving and sustaining change, and will act as ambassador, cultivating an ever-widening circle of sponsors and supporters. The CEO will innovate and maintain The Boston Club’s agility by scanning the landscape, staying abreast of emerging ideas, and driving strategy for long-term relevance and sustainability. The CEO will establish and retain long-term financial relationships with current and new corporate, individual and foundation sponsors and evaluate and pursue mutually beneficial strategic partnerships that expand TBC’s capacity and capability to deliver its mission, vision, value proposition and Offerings (60% of time)

 3. Driving Organizational Health, including member engagement and day-to-day operations. The CEO will meet revenue and financial objectives, build and develop a high-performing staff, align The Boston Club vision, mission and value proposition with all offerings and financial goals, ensure that The Boston Club delivers on its value proposition to members, and implement strategic plans based on data-driven analytics and projections. (40% of time)

 The ideal candidate’s experience will include:

 •       7+ years of increasing experience in member association and/or non-profit or for-profit leadership with an emphasis on established growth, performance, and demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

•       Successfully managed P&L and budgets.

•       Ability to grow revenue through external partnerships.

•       Ability to lead an organization through change.

•       Positive impact on issues that advance women’s leadership.

•       Demonstrated strong and effective leadership, management, fundraising and friend-raising, and fiscal management skills.

•       Demonstrated experience in building a strong foundation of member and sponsor engagement.

•       Proven ability to set a positive tone for organizational culture.

•       Demonstrated excellence in communication and presentation skills.

•       Past success working with Board of Directors and building Board confidence and relationships in the expansion and execution of mission, vision, values, value proposition and Offerings.

Education

BA/BS or equivalent experience in non-profit management, business administration, finance, economics, or business.
